Basketball Game Preview: Perquimans Pirates vs. North Edgecombe Warriors

The Perquimans Pirates will challenge the North Edgecombe Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Perquimans will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Perquimans is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Eno River Academy 62-10. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Edgecombe earned a 54-46 victory over Vance Charter on Tuesday.

Perquimans' win was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.1 points over those games. As for North Edgecombe, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
