Basketball Recap: Independence Blue Devils vs. Mogadore Wildcats
Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 61-42 fall against the Mogadore Wildcats.
Kasey Bolyard was her usual excellent self, shooting 60% from the field on her way to 31 points and three steals for Mogadore. Those 31 points gave Bolyard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylee Clark, who posted eight points.
Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Mogadore, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season.
Independence will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop Hartley at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Mogadore, they have already played their next game, a 58-30 defeat against Loudonville on the 19th.
