Basketball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spearfish Spartans. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 54-42 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Spearfish, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Spearfish beat Douglas by a score of 50-48 on Thursday.
