Recap: Kingstree Blazers vs. Mullins Auctioneers
The Kingstree Blazers can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Mullins with a sharp 46-21 victory. Winning may never get old, but Kingstree sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
MAKAYLA DUKES continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten steals. DUKES is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least five every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of SANIYA TAYLOR, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
NaRiya Woodberry and Moriah Mcleod certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Woodberry scored six points along with two steals, while Mcleod scored seven points.
Kingstree's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.8 points. As for Mullins, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingstree will take on Lee Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Lee Central: 26.6, Kingstree: 26.4) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Mullins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Marion focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Friday.
