With a playoff win on the line, Avon rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 38-28 win over the Colman-Egan C-E Hawks. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the C-E Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

Avon's record now sits at 10-1. As for Colman-Egan, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.
