Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Takes a Loss

Ridgeview lost against Eureka back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs lost 12-3 to the Hornets. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridgeview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Grice, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Grice's first of the season.

Ridgeview's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Eureka, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ridgeview will face off against rival El Paso-Gridley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eureka is set to challenge their familiar foe Tri-Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets are on a ten-game streak of home wins, the Vikings a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
