Basketball Recap: Gaithersburg Takes a Loss

Gaithersburg lost against Churchill back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gaithersburg Trojans took a 71-53 bruising from the Churchill Bulldogs. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Gaithersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Churchill, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

Gaithersburg will challenge Sherwood on Friday. Sherwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Gaithersburg likes a good challenge. Churchill has already played their next match (against Damascus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
