Basketball Recap: Grady Snyder Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Southern Huntingdon County

On Tuesday, the Central Cambria Red Devils were able to grind out a solid victory over the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets, taking the game 61-48. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Rockets are ranked 577th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Cambria to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grady Snyder, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. What's more, Snyder posted five steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brayden Swope, who had 14 points and six steals.

Central Cambria's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Southern Huntingdon County, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12.

Coming up, Central Cambria will venture away from home to challenge Bishop Guilfoyle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Guilfoyle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Central Cambria likes a good challenge. Southern Huntingdon County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
