Softball Recap: Surry Central Takes a Loss

If Surry Central was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Mount Airy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Eagles came up short against the West Forsyth Titans on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The game marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Surry Central now has a losing record of 7-8. As for West Forsyth, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Surry Central will challenge East Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Forsyth, they will square off against Davie County at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the War Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
