Soccer Recap: Wheat Ridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Arvada last Thursday, Wheat Ridge came back down to earth. The Wheat Ridge Farmers fell just short of the St. Mary's Academy Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Farmers were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Wheat Ridge now has a losing record of 1-2-2. As for St. Mary's Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheat Ridge will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Standley Lake at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. The game will give Standley Lake their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for St. Mary's Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
