Volleyball Game Preview: Canutillo Eagles vs. Jefferson Silver Foxes + How To Watch

Canutillo is 2-8 against Jefferson since September of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:40 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Canutillo lost 3-0 to Chapin last Friday.

Canutillo's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Ontiveros, who had 23 assists and nine digs, and Danielle Romero, who had 13 digs and five kills. Ontiveros is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 27 games she's played.

Meanwhile, Jefferson came up short against El Paso last Friday and fell 3-1.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Canutillo, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-16.

Canutillo might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Jefferson in their previous meeting back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Silver Foxes' Jayme Rojas, who had 34 assists and ten digs.
