Baseball Recap: Chiles Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chiles can now relate to. They lost 7-1 to the Lincoln Trojans on Wednesday. The Timberwolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Chiles saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Correa, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Chiles' defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

While Chiles had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
