Basketball Game Preview: Twinfield Trojans vs. Winooski Spartans

The Twinfield Trojans will challenge the Winooski Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Twinfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Blue Mountain on Friday as Twinfield made off with a 71-45 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans who have now won four matches in a row.

Meanwhile, Winooski strolled past Stowe with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-46.

Twinfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Winooski, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Twinfield came up short against Winooski in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 53-46. Can Twinfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
