Football Recap: Spring Garden Takes a Loss

Spring Garden was the 40-7 winner over Ranburne when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 29-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday.

Ranburne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiden Whitman led the charge by rushing for 64 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 48 receiving yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Asher Brown, who picked up 104 receiving yards and one TD.

Spring Garden's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Ranburne, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Spring Garden will challenge Hackleburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ranburne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
