Preview: Nova Titans vs. South Plantation Paladins
Nova has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The South Plantation Paladins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nova comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Nova ended up a good deal behind Pembroke Pines Charter and lost 27-8.
Meanwhile, South Plantation suffered a rough 34-14 loss at the hands of Everglades on Friday. South Plantation was down 34-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Nova's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.3 points per game. As for South Plantation, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Nova came up short against South Plantation when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 29-25. Can Nova avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
