Basketball Game Preview: Ben Davis Giants vs. Brownsburg Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the Ben Davis Giants will jump right back in to play the Brownsburg Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Ben Davis is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They skirted past Pike 43-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Giants.

Ben Davis' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Justin Parks, who shot 86% from the field on his way to 14 points, and Jashawn Ladd, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ladd a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Tj (Taurus) Minor, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Brownsburg entered their tilt with Plainfield on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 win over the Quakers.

The victory got Brownsburg back to even at 12-12. As for Ben Davis, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.

Ben Davis was able to grind out a solid victory over Brownsburg in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 65-58. Will Ben Davis repeat their success, or does Brownsburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
