Softball Recap: Mercersburg Academy Storm vs. Spring Mills Cardinals
Mercersburg Academy couldn't beat Spring Mills on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Storm fell 9-6 to the Cardinals. The Storm haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Kamden Jenkins stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Emily Guzic was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Mercersburg Academy's record now sits at 6-8. As for Spring Mills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
