Richfield not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 15th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Carbon Dinos as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Richfield never let Carbon on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 27-25.

Jerzy Moon paced Richfield's offense, picking up 15 kills. Moon got some help from Adrie Seely and her 40 assists. Seely was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Carbon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Laycie Gregersen, who had 13 digs, and Brailee Peterson, who had nine kills and eight digs. Peterson has been hot recently, having posted six or more kills the last three times she's played.

Richfield's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Carbon, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Richfield has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against North Sanpete on the 9th. As for Carbon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Union on the 11th.
