Softball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Webster County Trojans, falling 9-3.

Lincoln County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Cassidy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Macie Wade, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two RBI.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Webster County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will head out to challenge Danville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Webster County, they will face off against Caldwell County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
