Keaton Jones Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Pendleton Heights got the W thanks in part to Keaton Jones playing the best football he has all season. Jones rushed for 235 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.

Pendleton Heights moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Jones' next matchup is against Shelbyville on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Joliba Brogan II was instrumental in extending Mt. Vernon's winning streak to four on Friday. Brogan II's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards.

The victory got Mt. Vernon back to even at 4-4. Brogan II and Mt. Vernon will face off against Yorktown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Cooper Hinton Leads Greenfield-Central over Delta

On Friday, Greenfield-Central got the W thanks in part to Cooper Hinton playing the best football he has all season. Hinton picked up three sacks and made ten total tackles.

If history really does repeat itself, Hinton might just drop another big game when he faces off against New Castle on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Hinton saw the Trojans), he picked up a sack, made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended two passes.

New Palestine picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Josh Ranes. Ranes' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.

New Palestine pushed their record up to 7-0-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Ranes and New Palestine will host Delta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Dallas Freeman Makes It Two for Greenfield-Central

Another Greenfield-Central player making an appearance on this list is Dallas Freeman. He rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 166 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Freeman might have his next game, a road matchup with New Castle, circled on his calendar.
