South Lakes entered their tilt with South County on Monday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by  a  13-3 margin over the Stallions. That's more bragging rights for the Seahawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Gracie De La Cruz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kayla Rudolph, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Sofia Ponce also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 South Lakes  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South County only posted  an  OBP of  .364.
South Lakes pushed their record up to 9-1 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for South County,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Lakes will square off against Robinson at 12:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for South County, they will challenge Edison at 10:00  a.m.  on Tuesday.
