Volleyball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

Carlisle lost against Brookville back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians lost 3-0 to the Blue Devils. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Carlisle was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Brookville's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-13, 25-14.

Brookville had a senior duo take command as Lauren Eller had 14 assists and five aces and Paloma Carey had eight digs and four aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Eller. Another player making a difference was Sidney Sprada, who hit 81.2% for 13 kills and eight aces, four digs, and two blocks.

Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Brookville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Carlisle will take on rival Eaton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brookville is set to challenge their familiar foe Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
