Volleyball Recap: Life Center Academy Comes Up Short

If Life Center Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Girard College two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pine Forge Academy Falcons on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Life Center Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Justin Fluker, who had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces gave him a new career-high.

Life Center Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pine Forge Academy, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Life Center Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Girard College at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Pine Forge Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Mastery at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
