Volleyball Recap: Erie Red Devils vs. Labette County Grizzlies

Erie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Labette County Grizzlies. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19.

Kylie Hodgden paced Erie's offense, picking up five kills. Hodgden got some help from Kaeleigh Daniels and her 18 assists. Finally, Lila Michael kept Erie's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Erie's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Labette County, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Erie will take on Central Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Labette County, they will challenge Pittsburg on Tuesday.
