Preview: Beth Haven Bearcats vs. Valley Vikings
The Beth Haven Bearcats will head out on the road to square off against the Valley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Beth Haven has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Beth Haven stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bullitt Central as Beth Haven made off with a 91-68 win. Given Beth Haven's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Bullitt Central is ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jordan Harris, who scored 34 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Levi Langley, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Valley had to settle for a 52-49 loss against Iroquois on Tuesday.
Beth Haven's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
Everything came up roses for Beth Haven against Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 101-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beth Haven since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
