Volleyball Game Preview: South Tahoe Vikings vs. Dayton Dust Devils

The South Tahoe Vikings will face off against the Dayton Dust Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Saturday, South Tahoe didn't have quite enough to beat Livermore and fell 3-2.

South Tahoe wouldn't go down easily and took Livermore into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 22-25, 21-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Dayton waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Vaqueros.

Dayton was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (95-93), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-20, 29-27, 25-23.

South Tahoe's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Dayton, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.

South Tahoe took their win against Dayton in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Dust Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
