Nebraska Lutheran extended the longest winning streak in D2 District 2 (8 Man) this week by beating Hampton, 76-22. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Nebraska Lutheran took down the Hawks 76-22 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ben Pohlman threw for 57 yards and ran for 120 yards during the win.
Benjy Wells' team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Grant Freese chipped in 163 yards.
Luke Ericson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Osceola fell to Parkview Christian. The 6-foot-4 sophomore.
Pohlman put up the best numbers through the air as the Knights bested Hampton. Pohlman's favorite target this week was Sam Green, who caught 2 passes for 57 yards.
6-foot-4 quarterback Ericson of the Bulldogs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 285. He has also thrown 5 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Green. The Nebraska Lutheran star has 6 catches for 170 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Mead takes on Nebraska Lutheran. At the moment, the Raiders are in fourth, while the Knights are in first.
