Basketball Game Preview: Emmanuel Christian Crusaders vs. Step of Faith Christian Academy Chargers

The Emmanuel Christian Crusaders will head out to take on the Step of Faith Christian Academy Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Emmanuel Christian didn't have too much trouble with Maranatha Christian as they won 52-34.

Emmanuel Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooks Atkinson led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Carson Baker, who posted eight points along with 16 rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Step of Faith Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Monday. They snuck past Ridge Christian Academy with a 59-54 win.

Emmanuel Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Step of Faith Christian Academy, their record is now 1-0.

Emmanuel Christian took a serious blow against Step of Faith Christian Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2019, falling 91-44. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
