Softball Recap: Owensboro Comes Up Short

Owensboro fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Daviess County on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 12-9 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on Thursday.

Owensboro's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Daviess County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Owensboro didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-12 loss against Owensboro Catholic on the 27th. As for Daviess County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-13 victory against Franklin-Simpson on the 26th.
