            Softball Recap: Danville Vikings vs. Glenwood Titans        
        
		
        
        
            Danville had lost three straight at home, but  on Saturday they dropped their record down to 6-7 to make it four. They came up short against  the Glenwood Titans, falling  11-0. The  matchup marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.
 Danville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ka'Leah Bellik, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
As for Glenwood, the  victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won ten contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
On Glenwood's side,  not much got past  Alyvia Streb, who gave up just  four  hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Danville off the board.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Kailyn Barry, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Ryleigh Kiel, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Looking ahead, Danville will square off against Pekin at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 7.6  runs per game this season. As for Glenwood, they will challenge Rochester at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
