Soccer Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for Sterling in their meetings with Carnegie Vanguard: they've now lost six in a row.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Carnegie Vanguard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sterling is set to square off against their familiar foe Austin at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carnegie Vanguard will challenge rival Milby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
