Basketball Recap: Waterford Takes a Loss

Waterford lost against Belpre back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Waterford Wildcats took a hard 56-38 fall against the Belpre Golden Eagles. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Belpre, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

Looking ahead, Waterford will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Frye at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Frye will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Waterford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Belpre, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Golden Eagles duke it out with the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Eastern knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Belpre likes a good challenge.
