The Keystone Heights Indians will face off against the Baker County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keystone Heights will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Keystone Heights had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Bradford on Thursday. Keystone Heights was the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Bradford. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by eight runs or more this season.

Tyler Brinson made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).
In other batting news, Austin Smith was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Andrew Wilson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.
Keystone Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Baker County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Mary Persons on Saturday.
The team relied heavily on Wesley Crockett, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Keystone Heights' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Baker County, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Keystone Heights has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Baker County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Keystone Heights took their win against Baker County in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 9-1. Will Keystone Heights repeat their success, or does Baker County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
