Soccer Recap: Quartz Hill Gets the Win

Quartz Hill kept a clean sheet against Independence on Friday. It was close, but they capped 2024 with a 1-0 victory over the Independence Falcons. Logan Forshee had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Royals.

Quartz Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-4-2. As for Independence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quartz Hill will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against The Palmdale Aerospace Academy at 3:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Independence, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Frontier on Thursday. Independence's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
