Basketball Recap: The Awty International Comes Up Short

The Awty International lost against Kinkaid back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Awty International Rams lost 61-41 to the Kinkaid Falcons.

Kinkaid got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rob Satcher out in front who went 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Satcher a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Connor Cubbage, who posted 11 points and four steals.

The Awty International dropped their record down to 16-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Kinkaid, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 10-17.

Looking ahead, The Awty International will host Salt and Light Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Awty International is facing Salt and Light Homeschool at the right time seeing as Salt and Light Homeschool is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Kinkaid, they will face off against St. Mark's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
