Niles West is a perfect 6-0 against Maine East since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolves will welcome the Blue Demons at 4:45 p.m. Maine East took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Niles West, who comes in off a win.

Niles West took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Taft, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolves as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Lexi Kuffel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

On the hitting side, Niles West's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mia Mendoza, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Maine East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Niles North, falling 15-0.

Maine East's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Niles West, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Niles West took their victory against Maine East in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 24-0 score. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Demons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
