Volleyball Recap: Hawkins Comes Up Short

Hawkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the King/Drew Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-8, 23-25, 25-12, 25-8.

Hawkins' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for King/Drew, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawkins will welcome Jordan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for King/Drew, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when King/Drew Golden Eagles face off against New West Charter Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
