Baseball Game Preview: Tri Titans vs. Northeastern Knights

Tri is 2-7 against Northeastern since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Titans will look to defend their home field against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tri lost 9-3 to Monroe Central on Tuesday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braiden Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Jackson has launched this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Northeastern's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Yorktown, falling 15-1.

Tri's loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Northeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tri has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Northeastern struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
