Softball Recap: Glastonbury Has No Trouble Against Wethersfield

Glastonbury's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Wethersfield Eagles get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Guardians this season.

Sylvia Lewis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Scionti, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Glastonbury's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Wethersfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Glastonbury will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Bristol Eastern at 3:45 p.m. The Lancers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Guardians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wethersfield, they will head out on the road to face off against New Britain at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
