Baseball Recap: West Ouachita Comes Up Short

If West Ouachita was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Beekman Charter last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Ouachita Chiefs came up short against the Sterlington Panthers on Thursday, falling 11-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 15-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

West Ouachita's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sterlington, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

While West Ouachita had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
