Football Game Preview: Tellico Plains Bears vs. Happy Valley Warriors + How To Watch

The Tellico Plains Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Happy Valley Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, Tellico Plains ended up a good deal behind Polk County and lost 34-18. The Bears have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Tellico Plains had strong showings from Trevor Kibler, who picked up 174 receiving yards and three scores, and Ike Hollinghead, who threw for 272 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. The Bears are 2-1 when Hollinghead posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise. Tellico Plains also got a significant boost from Jasper Hamilton, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 92 yards.

Meanwhile, Happy Valley strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 20-14 W against South Greene. The 20-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Tellico Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Happy Valley, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
