Volleyball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Christian Academy on Monday, Purdue Polytechnic came back down to earth. The Techies lost 3-0 to the Shenandoah Raiders on Tuesday. If the Techies were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Raiders when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Purdue Polytechnic lost, don't look at Alyssa Hickman. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and one assist. Magdalena Wiegel also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Purdue Polytechnic now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Shenandoah, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Purdue Polytechnic has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Christel House on the 3rd. As for Shenandoah, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Frankton on the 28th.
