Taylor has gone a perfect 10-0 against Reading recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Yellowjackets will look to defend their home field against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. Taylor knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Reading likes a good challenge.
22 must be Taylor's lucky number: they beat Seton with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets beat the Saints by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 22-1. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Ady Franke was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Taylor let Emma King and Ellie Stafford run wild. King went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs, while Stafford went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Stafford has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Back, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Taylor hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Reading unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 10-6 to Indian Hill.
Maddie Berry was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Brooke Androne was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Taylor's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Reading, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Taylor's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Yellowjackets have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Reading, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Taylor continue to outrun the ball?
Taylor got the 'W' when the teams last played two weeks ago against Reading by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
