Basketball Recap: Brooke Hunt Key Part of a Team Effort in Fightin' Tigers Win

Union County hadn't done well against Keystone Heights recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Union County Fightin' Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 32-30 victory over the Keystone Heights Indians. This was a revenge game for the Fightin' Tigers: when they faced off against the Indians two weeks ago, they had to take a 38-18 loss.

Union County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooke Hunt out in front who posted 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Those 12 points gave Hunt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Moore, who earned ten points and five boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Union County and bumps their season record up to 5-12. As for Keystone Heights, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Union County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-28 win against West Nassau on the 16th. Keystone Heights has also already played their next matchup (against Duval Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
