Football Recap: Ludlowe Piles Up the Points Against Warde

Ludlowe has more to be thankful for after their matchup against Warde on Thursday. The Falcons took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-2 win over the Mustangs. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Liam Bond continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 170 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Those five rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Cole Stotler did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 89 receiving yards.

Ludlowe didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Warde to a completion percentage of just 35%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: Bond, Stotler, Holt Lahey, and Ryan Frame, who each logged one passes deflected. Ludlowe wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 53.8%.

Ludlowe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Max Saunders, Bond, and Thomas Gardiner picked up one apiece.

Ludlowe's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Warde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Ludlowe will face off against Cheshire at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Warde does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
