Baseball Game Preview: Guymon Tigers vs. Forgan Bulldogs

The Guymon Tigers will challenge the Forgan Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Guymon will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

It was a proper cat-fight when Guymon duked it out with Turpin on Thursday. Everything went Guymon's way against Turpin as Guymon made off with a 16-5 victory. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Julius Villarreal was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Drazen Romero was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Guymon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Forgan had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Okeene by a score of 9-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The victory got Guymon back to even at 2-2. As for Forgan, their record now sits at 1-0.
