Volleyball Recap: Genoa-Hugo/Karval Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Genoa-Hugo/Karval lost against Otis back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Kazlei Vaughn and Rylee Corn, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Rylee Kelly and her 11 assists.

Lydia Willeke was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August. Marley Muncy also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Genoa-Hugo/Karval's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Otis, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Genoa-Hugo/Karval wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Hi-Plains on the 27th. As for Otis, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Genoa-Hugo on the 19th.
