Meanwhile, Scotland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to Lumberton.

With the win, Union Pines broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-8. As for Scotland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
