Softball Game Preview: Webster County Trojans vs. Henderson County Colonels

Webster County hasn't had much luck against Henderson County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Trojans will face off against the Colonels at 6:00 p.m. Henderson County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Webster County, who comes in off a win.

Webster County's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Carlisle County with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Henderson County faced Greenwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Colonels fell just short of the Gators by a score of 3-2. The Colonels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anna Kemp spent all 8.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

Henderson County's defeat dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Webster County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
