Football Game Recap: Bellevue vs. Clayton-Ridge

Bellevue won the last time they met up with Clayton-Ridge, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Everything went Bellevue's way against Clayton-Ridge on Friday as the team secured a 42-7 victory. Followers of Bellevue probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

Bellevue's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 35 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Clayton-Ridge couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. The Bellevue defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The win bumped their record up to 4-0. Clayton-Ridge are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.

Bellevue will stay at home next week against West Branch at 7:30 PM. Bellevue have bulldozed their previous four opponents, so West Branch might have their hands full. Clayton-Ridge will look to defend their home turf against MFL MarMac at 7:00 PM. Clayton-Ridge come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
